Will Smith et Kevin Hart font équipe pour une nouvelle comédie — un remake de ‘Planes, Trains & Automobiles’.
Variety a confirmé la production chez Paramount. Hart a partagé la nouvelle sur Instagram. Dans son post, il a confirmé que le film se déroulerait à Philadelphie.
« Nous l’avons trouvé et nous le développons avec nos équipes », écrit Hart.
John Hughes a écrit et réalisé les Avions, Trains et Automobiles de 1987. Steve Martin joue le rôle de Neal Page, un mari et un père qui essaie désespérément de rentrer à Chicago pour Thanksgiving. Il rencontre le vendeur de rideaux Del Griffith (John Candy) sur son vol.
Une série de catastrophes liées au voyage les empêche de rentrer chez eux, bien qu’ils essaient les vols, les trains et les voitures de location. Les circonstances continuent de pousser Del et Neal ensemble, bien que Neal trouve Del ennuyeux.
Dans une scène célèbre de l’original, Martin et Candy partagent un lit et se réveillent à la cuillère. Tous deux paniquent lorsqu’ils réalisent que Del a touché les parties intimes de Neal pendant la nuit.
Les rapports ne disent pas si Smith ou Hart joueront les rôles correspondant à Candy et Martin.

Will Smith and Kevin Hart to remake ‘Planes, Trains and Automobiles’

Will Smith and Kevin Hart are teaming up for a new comedy — a remake of Planes, Trains & Automobiles.
Variety confirmed the production at Paramount. Hart shared the news on Instagram. In his post, he confirmed the film would be set in Philadelphia.
« We found it and are developing it together with our teams, » Hart wrote. « This will be huge for us and the city of brotherly love aka Philadelphia….. let’s goooooo. »
John Hughes wrote and directed 1987’s Planes, Trains and Automobiles. Steve Martin played Neal Page, a husband and father trying desperately to get home to Chicago for Thanksgiving. He meets curtain ring salesman Del Griffith (John Candy) on his flight.
A series of travel disasters keeps preventing both from returning home, though they try flights, trains and rental cars. Circumstances keep pushing Del and Neal together, though Neal finds Del annoying.
A famous scene from the original has Martin and Candy sharing a bed, waking up spooning. Both panic when they realize Del has been touching Neal’s private parts in the night.
The reports did not say whether Smith or Hart would play the roles corresponding to Candy and Martin.
