Lady Gaga est prête à danser aux MTV Video Music Awards de 2020.
MTV a annoncé jeudi que Lady Gaga, qui est à égalité avec Ariana Grande pour le nombre de nominations, se produira lors de l’événement du 30 août. Parmi les autres artistes figurent The Weeknd, BTS, J Balvin, Doja Cat, Maluma, Roddy Ricch et CNCO.
Sept des neuf nominations de Gaga – y compris la vidéo de l’année – sont pour sa collaboration avec Grande sur le hit n°1 « Rain On Me ». Gaga est également nominée pour l’artiste de l’année et la meilleure performance de quarantaine – l’une des deux nouvelles catégories liées à la pandémie – pour « Smile » de l’émission spéciale « One World » : Ensemble à la maison ». MTV a également présenté le prix du meilleur clip vidéo de chez nous cette année.
Les AMV 2020 devaient initialement se dérouler au Barclays Center de Brooklyn. La cérémonie de remise des prix se déroulera désormais en plein air, à différents endroits de New York, en réponse à la pandémie de coronavirus.
L’acteur et chanteur Keke Palmer sera l’hôte de la cérémonie.

Lady Gaga to perform at 2020 MTV Video Music Awards
Lady Gaga is ready to just dance at the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards.
MTV announced Thursday that Gaga, who is tied as the most-nominated act alongside Ariana Grande, will perform at the Aug. 30 event. Other performers include The Weeknd, BTS, J Balvin, Doja Cat, Maluma, Roddy Ricch and CNCO.
Seven of Gaga’s nine nominations — including video of the year — are for her collaboration with Grande on the No. 1 hit “Rain On Me.” Gaga is also nominated for artist of the year and best quarantine performance — one of two new categories related to the pandemic — for “Smile” from the TV special “One World: Together At Home.” MTV also introduced the best music video from home award this year.
The 2020 VMAs were originally to take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The awards show will now be held outdoors at various places in New York City in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
Actress-singer Keke Palmer will host the show.
